Walk Plantings

Walk plantings can make an ordinary garden path extraordinary.
Installing walk plantings is a relatively simple process that involves digging shallow trenches on either side of the path, adding edging materials, and installing the plants that will line your path.
There are two edging styles to choose from: raised edgings and mowing strips. Raised edgings are taller than the path itself to keep aggressive ground covers from overgrowing the walk. Mowing strips are flush with the path to enable one wheel of a mower to run along it.
You can choose from a variety of plants to line your path. Some tried-and-true favorites include: ajuga, alyssum, impatiens, and lily-of-the-valley. If you’re interested in having Herman Bros. Landscape Contracting Corp. install walk plantings on your property, give us a call today.
